Activewear Retail Merchandiser

Position Title:** Activewear Retail Merchandiser

**Location:** Qatar**Department:** Buying & Merchandising

**Reports to:** Merchandising Manager / Head of Buying

**Job Purpose:**

To manage the planning, selection, allocation, and promotion of activewear products across retail stores and/or e-commerce platforms. The Merchandiser ensures that performance-driven apparel is presented to customers at the right time and in the right quantities to maximize sales and brand appeal.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Analyze activewear sales trends, fitness fashion movements, and seasonal consumer demands.

Collaborate with buying teams to curate collections aligned with brand identity and sportswear trends.

Monitor stock levels of key categories like leggings, sports bras, and outerwear, ensuring timely replenishment.

Plan and allocate stock by size, color, and style across stores or distribution channels.

Track KPIs (sell-through rate, stock turnover, gross margin) and adjust strategies based on performance.

Recommend markdowns, promotions, or stock transfers for slow-moving SKUs.

Coordinate with visual merchandising teams to ensure product presentation supports activewear functionality and appeal.

Work closely with logistics and production to align deliveries with product launches.

Support marketing efforts for seasonal drops, influencer collaborations, and campaign planning.

**Requirements:**

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.

2-5 years of experience in fashion or sportswear merchandising.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with a commercial mindset.

Proficiency in Excel and retail planning systems.

Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Knowledge of fitness, lifestyle trends, and activewear performance fabrics.

*Desirable:**

Experience with ERP or retail systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).

Background in launching seasonal collections or capsule drops.

Familiarity with online and offline merchandising strategies.
