Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioners to join our growing healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care to patients, diagnose and treat various medical conditions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care in the hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and order appropriate laboratory tests
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and treatment options
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards in healthcare practices

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Strong knowledge of utilization review processes and standards
- Proficient in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Familiarity with physiology principles and their application in clinical practice
- Experience in critical care is necessary.

Qualifications:
- Valid Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound clinical judgments
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
