Job Description

HomeworkCoach is seeking a patient and engaging Executive Function & Academic Coach for a 10th grade student in Ashland, MA. This student has ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and anxiety, which impact his ability to stay organized, manage workload, and engage with school—particularly in reading-heavy and critical thinking subjects such as English, History, and Spanish.

He is bright, kind, and fun to work with, but often becomes overwhelmed and mentally exhausted after school. He benefits from consistent redirection, encouragement, and structured support to help him stay on track.

The goal of this role is to build sustainable systems for organization, task initiation, and follow-through, while also supporting academic performance. Sessions may take place at home or shift to a quieter environment (such as a library) if needed for focus.

This is not traditional tutoring. This role centers on executive function coaching, accountability, and helping the student build confidence and independence over time.
