Adjunct Business Faculty & CSI Lab Lead

Overview
Laurus College is seeking an on-site adjunct faculty member to teach undergraduate-level Business courses and provide evening coverage for the Career Strategy Institute (CSI) Lab. This role combines online instruction with in-person student mentorship, helping learners connect classroom content to real-world employability skills.

The Adjunct Faculty & CSI Lab Lead provides a consistent, mission-aligned faculty presence during assigned campus hours. The adjunct may personally facilitate CSI sessions or coordinate trained campus team members to do so, but remains responsible for maintaining instructional quality, compliance, and a supportive student experience.

This is an on-site only position. If the employee no longer wishes to fulfill on-campus duties, employment in this role ends; however, they may apply for open remote adjunct roles through Laurus College’s standard hiring process.

This is a part-time, per-term role. Faculty are assigned courses on a five-week term cycle and may teach up to nine instructional terms per year, depending on enrollment and campus needs.

Schedule & Coverage

  • Current Shifts Available: Monday–Thursday, 4:30–9:00 PM
  • CSI Sessions: 50-minute sessions begin on the hour during campus open hours.
  • Instructional Load: Up to two online courses per five-week term, or a mix of one course plus release time for assessment, curricular, or related duties.
  • Term Cycle: Up to nine instructional terms per year, depending on institutional need.
  • Position Type: Part-time, non-benefited; future assignments are term-based and performance-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses online, aligned to approved outcomes and Laurus College’s mission
  • Serve as the on-campus faculty presence during scheduled shift
  • Lead CSI Lab sessions and confirm student check-in and artifact submissions
  • Coordinate coverage with campus partners if unable to personally facilitate a session
  • Mentor students, encouraging deeper reflection and connecting Essential Employability Qualities (EEQs) to real-world contexts
  • Maintain timely grading, forum engagement, and VIP² responsiveness

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • MBA with BBA preferred with experience in marketing, small business development, or project management
  • College-level teaching or professional training experience
  • Strong facilitation skills and LMS proficiency
  • Commitment to supporting veteran and military-affiliated learners
  • Veteran status or demonstrated experience supporting military and career-transitioning populations strongly encouraged
  • Preferred:
  • Familiarity with EEQs/career-readiness frameworks
  • Experience in accelerated, 5-week programs

Compensation
Adjunct faculty compensation is determined in accordance with Laurus College’s approved faculty workload and pay structure. Pay levels reflect course assignments, academic credentials, and applicable institutional or accreditor requirements. Additional compensation for approved overloads or on-site service duties may be available based on program and institutional needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
