The Role
We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty in Electrical Engineering to deliver high-quality teaching on undergraduate programmes within the Faculty of Technology, Art and Culture. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching of Introduction to Electrical Principles and Control Systems, ensuring that delivery is innovative, engaging, and aligned with UK higher education standards.
This role will include teaching, assessment, and related academic responsibilities, as well as contributing to the enhancement of the curriculum and the overall student learning experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical workshops on Electrical Engineering modules.
  • Prepare, assess, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Ensure compliance with academic standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the development of course materials and assessments.
  • Support and guide students to achieve academic success.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects DMU’s values.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:
  • A postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (required).
  • Attested qualifications with UAE Ministry of Education equivalency (mandatory requirement).

Experience:
  • Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in higher education (required).
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students in Electrical Engineering disciplines (required).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Electrical Principles and Control Systems (required).

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students through varied teaching methods.
  • Competence in using technology to support teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Teaching Schedule
  • Teaching load: 8 hours per week
  • Duration: 6 weeks (24 November 2025 – 31 January 2026)
  • Timings: Between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday (distributed over two days per week).
