Description
Franklin University, an accredited, private, not-for-profit institution in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking adjunct faculty for the Family and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner programs. The School of Nursing is looking for part-time adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners (AGPCNPs). Anticipated openings begin in January 2025, with qualified candidates added to a pool for future consideration. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching specific courses within the online FNP and AGPCNP programs.
Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction and foster a supportive, engaging learning environment.

Facilitate both asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences.

Efficiently manage assigned courses, ensuring timely communication and grading.

Cultivate an inclusive, welcoming, and productive classroom atmosphere.

Address and assist in resolving student concerns related to course content and instruction.

Provide feedback and participate in course evaluations as needed.
Education/Experience Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in nursing.

At least 2 years of current clinical practice as an APRN.

Minimum 1 year of online teaching experience in a graduate nursing program.

Current unencumbered RN nursing license and APRN certification in the state of employment.

National APRN certification.
Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.

Experience with asynchronous teaching.

Compact or multi-state license.
