Adjunct Instructor - Graphic Design

Job Description
Teach courses within the Graphic Design program of study on a part-time basis under the direction of the Lead Instructor.

Essential Duties Summary
Include but are not limited to:
  • Reliably teach Graphic Design courses in an effective and engaging manner
  • Communicate with students via Moodle and email outside of class as needed
  • Complete course administrative paperwork in a timely manner (attendance, grades, etc.)
  • Assist in creating a safe, positive, successful learning environment for students

Required Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience.
  • Experience using graphic design software including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge in web design, animation, video editing, and photography.

Physical Demands
Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed under general supervision in an office or classroom setting with appropriate climate controls. Travel, early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required.

Essential functions of this position require lifting, manual dexterity, ability to communicate.

Medium work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; involves sitting only occasionally, walking and standing are required regularly, incumbents may be required to kneel, crouch/squat, crawl, climb, stoop, turn/twist, balance, reach, or handle.

Mental Application: Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills are important.

Salary Grade

Salary
$32.23 p/hr for Associates, $34.15 p/hr for Bachelor's, $35.85 for Masters
