About the Role

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), one of the UAE's most prestigious international universities, is seeking a qualified and experienced Adjunct Lecturer to teach the subject MARK233 - Marketing and Digital Communication within the School of Business.

This role is ideal for an academic or industry professional with strong expertise in digital marketing, strategic communication, media technologies, and consumer engagement who can bring contemporary insights and practical applications into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, tutorials, and workshops for both undergraduate students.

Prepare course materials, case studies, and assessments in line with UOWD's academic standards.

Integrate practical industry examples, digital tools, and current trends into teaching.

Support students in developing strong communication, analytical, and strategic marketing skills.

Provide timely academic support and constructive feedback to students.

Ensure continuous improvement of course delivery based on feedback and current best practices in HR and employment relations.

About You

You are an enthusiastic educator and/or digital marketing specialist who can translate real world digital communication trends into impactful learning experiences. You stay up to date with current digital platforms and understand how brands create value through communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

PhD in Marketing, Digital Communication, Media Studies, Advertising, or a related field or Master's degree with demonstrated and strong i ndustry experience in digital marketing, brand communication, or media strategy.

Demonstrated teaching experience at the tertiary level or equivalent corporate training experience in the above subject areas.

Strong understanding of digital marketing tools (SEO/SEM, analytics, social media management platforms, content design tools)

Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage a diverse student cohort.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy interaction with a professional dynamic team of highly respected educators from more than 50 different countries and exposure to students from over 100 nationalities.

The University offers adjunct lecturers at undergraduate level a compensation of AED 9,000 per semester. This covers teaching, grading and providing subject consultation for students. The University is located in Knowledge Park, Dubai and has excellent teaching, learning and research facilities as well as a Library that meets international standards.
