Summary

Charleston Southern University’s Graphic Design Program is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to start in the Fall Semester of 2026. We're seeking candidates who are professing Christians, dedicated to high-quality teaching, and committed to integrating faith with learning. Preferred applicants will combine professional experience in the field with the knowledge, skills, and passion to teach graphic design courses at the undergraduate level.

Work Performed

The Adjunct Instructor will teach undergraduate Graphic Design courses in-person and/or online depending on departmental needs. Possible course topics include Typography, Illustration, Digital Illustration, and/or Business of Design. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course need and availability

Qualifications

• MFA in Graphic Design or 18 graduate credit hours in the field is required.
• Submission of an original portfolio website or PDF in addition to other print materials.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
• Candidates should demonstrate commitment to student engagement and academic excellence.
