Schedule: Full-year position, exact schedule and days (4 or 5 days/week) flexible
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides administrative support for the Director of the Early Learning Center (ELC) and the Director of the Center for Leadership & Innovation (CLI).
Specific Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support primarily for the Director of the Early Learning Center, and the Director of the Center for Leadership & Innovation, including planning and scheduling appointments, meetings, conferences and teleconferences

Perform general clerical duties including phone systems, photocopying, mail distribution, filing

Maintains staff records in a confidential manner (e.g. evaluations, purchase orders, subscriptions, PTO)

Maintains/updates paper or e-filing systems, records, accounting documentation
-
Organizes and supports registration, travel, and hotel arrangements regarding professional conferences, workshops, and courses

Provides logistical support for field trips,

Inputs rosters and class schedules into the student information system

Works collaboratively and collegially with the receptionist and other administrative assistants, ensuring a welcoming office environment
- Supports special events, as needed

Is familiar and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents

Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities

Provides clerical support for DCYF licensing regulations including employee MERIT files
-
Provides clerical support for Clock Hours and Stars Hours documentation

Works collegially with the receptionist and other administrative assistants, ensuring a welcoming office environment and addressing the various needs of students, families, and visitors
- Maintains academic portions of ELC student records including testing records and report cards (electronic, current files, archived files)

Enthusiastically engages in professional growth opportunities within and beyond the STS community

Establishes and cultivates community relations by maintaining open and candid dialogue with all of the school’s constituencies

Is familiar and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents

Required Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
-
3+ years’ experience working in an office environment

Experience with school focused technology is a plus: Veracross, FinalSite, PickATime, SchoolPass
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient at working in a Microsoft Windows environment (Windows 7 or higher), using Office (version 2010 or higher), including Outlook; ability to master common automated systems for record keeping, and confidently learn new technology

Ability to research and recommend solutions in support of the Directors
