NORFOLK KAYAK RENTALS — ADMIN + MARKETING COORDINATOR
2026 Season | Part-Time | Remote-Friendly
Norfolk Kayak Rentals is looking for a friendly, organized and motivated individual to help grow our brand, community engagement and get more people on the river for 2026 and beyond. This is a flexible, part-time and primarily remote role great for a driven individual with a love for the outdoors!
What You'll Do:
- Help market and coordinate bookings for our growing tour lineup including Sunset Tours, Nature & Eco Tours, History Tours, and Bird Watching paddles
- Manage and publish NKR events to local and online event calendars
- Manage NKR booking platform and schedules
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, restaurants, hotels, cruise lines and more
- Explore various avenues of group bookings
- Develop creative cross-promotional opportunities with local partners
- Manage our email list sending regular email blasts and additional targeted marketing efforts
- Respond to customer emails and answer incoming calls
- Manage and track NKR merchandise inventory
- Support day-to-day operations as needed
- Opportunity for additional hours working kayak rentals + various tours
What We're Looking For:
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Organized, self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Outgoing personality
- Passion for the outdoors, nature, and the Hampton Roads area
- Email marketing experience a plus (Mailchimp)
Compensation: Hourly + commission, to be discussed at interview.
