Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Accounting Associate to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will support the organization’s financial operations by managing account reconcilations, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and maintaining accurate financial records via scanning and filing. Your expertise in various accounting software and financial concepts will help streamline our accounting functions, contribute to accurate reporting, and support overall financial health. Duties
- Perform data entry and account analysis to ensure accuracy, scanning, filing, etc.
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account reconciliations using QuickBooks and the MS365 environment
- Journal entries, invoice processing and reconciliation
- Support governmental and non-profit accounting activities by adhering to specific standard, controls, and government regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (2+ years' experience required)
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP, and governmental accounting standards (2+ years' experience required)
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail (MS Office Suite particularly adept in Excel) (2+ years' experience required)
- Knowledge of non-profit compliance procedures and controls
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis accurately
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting audit processes
