Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative and Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department and Administrative departments in managing a wide range of personnel functions and some accounting tasks. This role involves assisting with employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and HRIS management to ensure smooth operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with HR systems, and a solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices as well as having strong multitasking and communication skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic workforce planning and organizational development.

Duties

  • Assist the Administrative staff with various needs.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and training & development programs to facilitate smooth integration of new hires.
  • Maintain employee records through data entry in ADP.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and manage benefits-related inquiries and documentation.
  • Support performance management initiatives including employee evaluations and succession planning activities.
  • Assist with compliance efforts related to FMLA, OSHA regulations, Workers’ Compensation, and other employment & labor law requirements.
  • Manage employee relations issues by providing conflict management support and facilitating effective communication between staff and management.
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics such as data collection related to workforce management, HR sourcing effectiveness, and diversity initiatives.
  • Support payroll processing using systems like ADP by ensuring accurate data entry and contract administration.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts by assisting with HR projects involving HRIS updates, social media management for employer branding, and internal communications.
  • Work closely with other Administration departments to become a back up for essential jobs, such as Accounts Payables and Sales Logistics.

Experience

  • Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles.
  • Ability to handle company wide scheduling, document preparation, logistics and support for all departments.
  • Experience with ADP is a plus.
  • Ability to manage benefits administration, payroll systems, and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally, answering phones and directing calls, drafting correspondence, and speaking in front of large groups of employees.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computers. Any IT knowledge would be a plus.
  • Ability to perform data collection, reporting, and analysis using various HR software tools.
  • Prior experience in employee relations or conflict management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media management for employer branding purposes is a plus. This role is ideal for a proactive professional eager to grow within the human resources field while supporting organizational success through effective administrative practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
