Babes of Wellness is the first all-women’s wellness studio in Compton, CA. We are a community-driven space dedicated to empowering women through movement, mindfulness, and mentorship. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment where women of all backgrounds feel supported in building strength—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through innovative fitness classes, wellness coaching, and community events (including collaborations with Nike), we’ve become more than a studio—we’re a movement. We are looking for a Creative Administrative Assistant who shares our passion and wants to grow with us into a leadership role as studio manager.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Creative Administrative Assistant to support studio operations and drive creative storytelling across digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who is meticulous, systems-driven, and detail-obsessed, while also being friendly, professional, and creative. You’ll play a key role in daily operations, client experience, and brand content creation, with a clear path to grow into a Studio Manager role with expanded benefits. As the Assistant, you will work closely with the founder to help organize her day-to-day activities and assist in the efficient running of the studio. You will be responsible for handling administrative tasks, managing schedules, and assisting with event planning, among other duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling, calendars, inboxes, vendors, and studio systems.

Content & Brand

  • Film, photograph, and edit short-form content (IG, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Create flyers, social posts, and branded visuals using Canva/Figma/Adobe.
  • Support content calendars, campaign copywriting, and analytics reporting.

Events & Community

  • Assist with planning and running events, including timelines, logistics, and staffing.
  • Coordinate community partnerships and support Nike activations.

Team & Admin

  • Document SOPs and workflows.
  • Support hiring coordination, onboarding, and internal communications.
  • Track expenses, prepare simple reports, and maintain digital files.
  • Provide excellent client service—welcoming, professional, and solutions-oriented.
  • Keep the studio organized and running smoothly.

  • Preferred areas of study: Kinesiology, Business Administration, Digital Marketing

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Willing to jump in wherever needed, whether it’s administrative work or hands-on studio tasks.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Social media & content skills: filming, editing (CapCut/Adobe), and design (Canva/Figma).

Nice to Have: Event production experience, bookkeeping basics, lighting/audio for content, or previous boutique fitness/wellness studio experience.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRMs (Momence), and project management tools(Slack, Zapier).
  • Available for a 40-hour hybrid schedule, including some weekends.
