Samco Inc. and AKKA Plastics, Inc. are two southern Indiana manufacturing companies with a combined 95+ years of history, both founded by Marvin Alan Stahl and built on his core values of honesty, respect, and integrity. As we transition into our third generation of family ownership, we're looking for an organized, detail-driven Administrative Assistant to join us at an exciting chapter in our story.

This is a uniquely flexible role that supports both companies — one a full-service metal stamping and fabrication facility, the other a comprehensive thermoplastic injection molding provider. You'll never be bored, you'll be exposed to two distinct manufacturing industries, and you'll have the rare chance to grow alongside a company at a pivotal moment in its history.

What You'll Do

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable using QuickBooks, including processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records across both companies
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems to ensure easy document retrieval
  • Handle correspondence via email, phone, and mail with timeliness and accuracy
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls accurately and professionally
  • Coordinate scheduling, calendar management, and meeting preparation
  • Support general office management tasks including supply inventory and equipment upkeep
  • Assist with special projects including document proofreading, record keeping, and general office support across both companies

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks with hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable — this is essential
  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across two different business environments
  • Adaptability and curiosity — someone who enjoys variety and wants to keep learning
  • Bilingual ability is a plus
