Summary

As an Administrative Assistant at the Kansas City, Kansas Housing Authority, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations and enhancing our service delivery. This position is essential for ensuring efficient office management and effective communication within our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
  • Anwers telephones, transferring call and taking messages.
  • Assist in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution.
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare necessary materials for staff discussions.
  • Support team members with administrative tasks as needed to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with agency policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in office management or administrative support roles.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent calendar management skills to coordinate schedules efficiently.
  • Familiarity with clerical duties including filing, typing, and data entry.
  • Good proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation.
  • Experience in front desk operations is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
