Duties
- Manage front desk responsibilities, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately with professionalism and warmth
- Receive phone calls, answer inquiries, and route calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette
- Perform data entry tasks with accuracy using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office software
- Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical, ensuring easy retrieval of documents
- Support office management activities including scheduling appointments, calendar management, and coordinating meetings
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Flockbase software to track expenses and invoices
- Provide support to the church staff and congregation by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring positive interactions at all times
- Conduct proofreading of documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution
- Support clerical duties such as Sunday morning bulletin and slide preparation, photocopying, scanning, mailing, and inventory management
- Oversee laundry and coffee ministry operations on an as-needed basis throughout the week
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role within an office environment
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), Canva and data entry skills
- Experience managing the phone and front desk operations in a professional setting
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively
- Previous experience in church administration or customer support roles that require excellent interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with bookkeeping tools such as QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred
- Personal assistant or office management experience will be considered an asset
