Overview
We are looking to hire an Administrative Assistant with knowledge of mental health insurance benefit verification. Must be a team player, have a heart for serving others, and be willing to take and follow instructions.
Responsibilities
- Checking insurance benefits for new and established patients.
- Scheduling first time appointments and explaining the process of the appointment as well as the patient's financial responsibility.
- Tracking and updating authorizations for certain patients.
- Pre-authorizations for psychological testing.
- Assisting the office manager with daily tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Familiarization with HIPAA.
- Experience with mental health insurance and appropriate billing codes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organized, detail oriented, and conscientious approach to tasks.
- Personable and engaging approach with staff and patients.
