Administrative Assistant

Do you enjoy a fun and collaborative work environment? Warrenville Public Library District is looking for a professional, organized and detailed-oriented individual to work with and provide administrative support to the Executive Director in safeguarding and managing the assets and finances of the library district, as well as assisting with monthly board meetings and minute taking.

Responsibilities (see job description for full details)

  • Completes accounts payable processing of bills and payments
  • Reconciles petty cash, credit card statements, and Amazon account
  • Provides support for monthly board meetings and takes meeting minutes

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an administration department
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English (verbal and written)

Critical skills include:

  • Proficient in QuickBooks or other account software
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of recordkeeping and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Computer and keyboarding skills, including proficiency with MS Office software
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation and proof of insurance

Benefits & Pay:

  • Hiring Rate: $24.00-26.00 per hour, DOQ
  • Salary range: $21.41 / $25.69 / $30.83 (Min/Mid/Max)
  • Includes 3 weeks’ vacation, 12 days sick time, 3 floating holidays, 9 paid holidays
  • IMRF retirement participation
