Administrative Assistant – Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant provides support to ensure the efficient operation of the office.
- Maintain and organize filing systems for documents, including filing, copying, purging, and quality assurance of files
- Distribute prior authorizations (PAs) and treatment plans
- Use computers and various software programs to enter and retrieve information and prepare reports, memos, and other correspondence as required
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Provide general administrative support to staff
- Answer phones and greet visitors in a professional manner
- Assist with meeting setup and preparation
- Operate office equipment (e.g., copiers, calculators, fax machines, and computers)
- Participate in data collection efforts supporting the agency’s performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with other projects related to the agency’s operations as requested
- Measure and record patient vital signs while assisting the Nurse Practitioner during clinic days (2 days per week)
- Qualifications/Work Expectations
- Accept supervision and follow agency policies
- Cooperate and work effectively with other staff members
- Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively plan and organize work
- Work independently when necessary
- Meet deadlines consistently
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
