While a degree is not required, this role is ideal for a recent college graduate (particularly in psychology or related fields) taking a gap year before graduate school or someone still exploring their path and wanting meaningful, real-world experience in behavioral health. Strong performers may be considered for letters of recommendation for graduate or professional school applications.
At MPS, you will receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and meaningful exposure to behavioral healthcare systems and clinical practice.
This is not simply a front desk job; You will become part of a collaborative clinical environment and gain firsthand exposure to:
- Outpatient behavioral healthcare and private practice operations
- Psychological assessment and psychometric support
- Referral coordination and intake processes
- Interdisciplinary collaboration among providers and agencies
- A broad range of presenting concerns, diagnoses, and treatment approaches
- Day-to-day operations of an established behavioral health practice
- Insurance billing, compliance, and private practice management
- Responsibilities include:
- Managing referrals and scheduling
- Answering phones and responding to routine emails professionally and compassionately
- Processing payments and supporting front office operations
- Assisting with psychological assessment administration and support activities
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting data entry in our practice management system (training provided)
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion (HIPAA training provided)
- Helping create a welcoming and professional client experience
