Overview

Homes for Independent Living is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our growing organization.

The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, level-headed, and enjoys being an essential part of a collaborative team making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll help keep our operations running smoothly while supporting a team dedicated to improving lives. Responsibilities include:

  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

  • Prepare and distribute reports, billing and census information, correspondence, and other administrative materials

  • Maintain and update records to meet licensing, contractual, and company requirements

  • Process petty cash, credit card transactions, and invoices while ensuring responsible stewardship of company funds

  • Support Quality Assurance Reviews and Quality Improvement initiatives within the assigned region

  • Coordinate master calendars, conference rooms, trainings, and special events

  • Oversee maintenance requests and coordinate repairs to keep facilities running efficiently

  • Schedule classroom and in-home training sessions for new team members

  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support the team

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is organized, compassionate, and motivated to make a difference.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • A passion for supporting individuals who need assistance with daily living skills

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (or three years of related work experience)

  • Valid Wisconsin Class D driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience and an acceptable driving record per HIL policy

  • Access to an insured vehicle strongly preferred
