About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative and detail-oriented candidate to support Netflix’s global Music Lab and Soundtrack Operations teams. As
Administrative Assistant
, you will be supporting our internal and external partners across the globe in a crucial role responsible for managing a variety of responsibilities with a focus on music creative, operations, organization, communication, and efficiency. You will work globally across many markets and regions with teams in different locations focused on music distribution (Soundtracks) as well as music composition & production (Music Lab) for our original Netflix content. This role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can handle multiple priorities with ease and has a firm understanding of the film & television music industry.
Responsibilities

Maintain and manage calendars for Music Lab and Soundtrack Operation’s leaders, including booking and confirming meetings. Schedule meetings both internally and externally, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.

Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and manage related administrative duties such as processing travel and expense reports, and maintaining digital and physical filing systems.

Facilitate creative notes, feedback and revision lists in Music Lab meetings with internal Netflix partners and external productions, including Showrunners, Directors, Music Supervisors and Music Editors.

Manage the booking of studio sessions, talent travel and guest access for Music Lab’s recording studio including: on-camera talent, recording artists, composers, and studio musicians.

Plan and organize internal and external small to medium-sized industry events, team off-sites and on-sites, including meeting room/location organization, scheduling, catering, and activities.

Help to build and maintain I&D initiatives with the larger music group at Netflix, which includes growing Music Lab’s network of talent, finding opportunities for emerging talent.

Facilitate communication internally and externally, acting as a liaison with other Netflix admins and with personal admins of external execs.
Requirements
-
5+ years professional experience in the film & television music industries, with emphasis on music distribution, production and composition.

English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Excellent collaborator across a diverse range of internal and external partners and creative mediums.

Experience as an assistant for senior leadership within a fast-moving organization, working with Content & Music Execs, Showrunners, Producers, Music Supervisors, Composers, Recording Artists and Musical Talent.

Strong team-player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively, including proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, etc.)

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond accordingly.

Strong knowledge of the music industry and vocabulary associated with Film & Television music, including music business and legal affairs.

Knowledge and vocabulary of musical genres, including music from historical eras (ancient to contemporary), from many regions around the world.

Ability to self-manage and organize high-volume workloads around tight deadlines

Experience in event planning and project management.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $60,000 - $240,000.
