Position is an On-Site position working Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm.

Job Description:

The Procurement Administrative Assistant position is responsible for providing administrative support functions for the Procurement management staff and will perform the following duties:
  • Maintains vendor/broker contacts and tracks monthly sales
  • Maintains procurement files for vendor and customer programs
  • Generates and distributes daily, weekly and monthly reports (new items, discontinued items, aged inventory, service levels, etc.)
  • Completes projects as needed
  • involving meetings, FoodShow and other events
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Provide office administrative support to department.
  • Responsible for assisting personnel within Purchasing confirming all purchase orders, invoicing customers and processing drop ships.
  • Running reports; reviewing reports with inventory and customer needs
  • Creating presentations, forms and special projects as needed.
  • File all special orders.
  • Assist in pricing and sourcing products based on product merchandising knowledge.
  • Communicate and interact with sales, customers, vendors and company personnel in a friendly, timely and quality manner; ensuring that customers’ and vendors’ questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Interface with management, warehouse personnel, and the Accounting, Multi-Unit Accounts, Customer Service, Transportation, and Information Services, in-house freight traffic management personnel, Vice President, Purchasing, and other Purchasing personnel.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
