Carter & Sloope is a civil and environmental consulting engineering firm that works mostly for city and county governments throughout the state of Georgia focusing on water and wastewater infrastructure. For the last 36 years, we have offered a full range of civil and environmental engineering and landscape architecture services with expertise in conceptual design, master planning, hydraulic & hydrology modeling, stormwater management, and design of water and wastewater treatments plants, water distribution, and sewerage collection systems. Our work focuses on practical, constructible solutions for local governments to support their long-term operational needs. We currently have branches in Macon, Moultrie, Watkinsville, Canton, and Flowery Branch.
Who We Need
The Flowery Branch office is looking for a project administrator/contract manager to support our Water Treatment Division by managing contract documentation and administrative processes for large-scale construction projects. This role focuses primarily on contract coordination, document control, and compliance support throughout the project lifecycle, with general administrative duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Revise, format, and maintain contract documents and technical specifications to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Review, interpret, and analyze contract documents; provide guidance on requirements, obligations, deadlines, and potential risks to project team.
- Support construction-related contracts by monitoring compliance, tracking documentation, and responding to contract-related inquiries.
- Assist with construction procurement processes, including preparation of bid and contract documents, specification review, and coordination of required documentation from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain organized contact files and project records in accordance with document retention and audit requirements.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 tools (Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, Outlook, and Excel) to efficiently manage documents, track tasks, coordinate workflows, and support collaboration.
- Coordinate with project manager(s), engineer(s), vendor(s), and consultant(s) to ensure timely and accurate completion of contract-related deliverables.
- Review pay request calculations and prepare clear, accurate change orders.
- Provide general administrative support to the Water Treatment Division as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years experience as an administrative assistant or in a support/office position.
- Experience supporting construction projects, engineering teams, or public works environments.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving history (criteria available upon request).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Employment Requirement

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
