Temple Beth El of Boca Raton is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Religious School and Youth & Family Education programs. This full-time position plays a vital role in helping ensure that programs run smoothly and that families, students, and staff feel supported and welcomed.

The Administrative Assistant serves as a key point of contact for families and visitors and works closely with the Director of Youth and Family Education and Engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working with children and families, and is comfortable juggling a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the front desk professional during Religious School hours (Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings)
  • Coordinating snacks and meals for student programs
  • Maintaining student records, class rosters, attendance tracking, and emergency binders
  • Responding to parent and staff inquiries regarding enrollment, special events, and youth activities
  • Supporting communication efforts, including managing contact lists and distributing updates
  • Tracking RSVPs and preparing materials for school events and youth programming
  • Organizing supplies and supporting faculty, clergy, and chaperones as needed
  • Assisting with special projects throughout the year, such as Confirmation, family education events, and volunteer coordination

Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years administrative or clerical experience; school or nonprofit experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort with databases and digital tools
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with accuracy and efficiency
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and a desire to work in a community-centered environment
  • Availability on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings is required; remaining hours will take place during standard weekday hours
