Administrative Assistant to Executive Director

$23-$27 per hour | Meaningful work at retirement community | Great Benefits

Era Living is seeking a part-time administrative assistant at Ida Culver House Broadview, a vibrant retirement community with 300+ elderly residents in North Seattle, WA.

In this role, you will support the Executive Director with staff engagement, recognition, and training initiatives. You will also provide administrative and clerical support across a variety of projects.

This is a 25-hour-per-week day shift role, with flexibility to negotiate your schedule within a Monday-Friday work week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the community Executive Director, and as assigned, other members of the leadership team.
    • Assists, organizes, and relieves Executive Director of a wide range of routine and non-routine administrative and clerical tasks and projects
    • Assists with scheduling and coordinating employee trainings, recognition and appreciation events, and other meetings as assigned
    • Provides other administrative or clerical work as needed to ensure that community operations are fully supported including updating resident records, completing data entry projects and compiling and distributing community communication.
    • Supports the Executive Director and other community leaders in answering/making phone calls, identifying needs, and directing questions and inquiries to proper area; greeting visitors; acting as liaison between community members, employees, general public and administration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Proficient knowledge and experience using computers: Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher
    • Keyboarding and data entry proficiency with accuracy
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
    • Ability to handle multiple duties simultaneously; Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet required deadlines
    • Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults while maintaining resident confidentiality
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
    • Ability to perform duties in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire safety, infection control and sanitation procedures, and Era Living policies and procedures
    • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
    • Ability to pass DSHS background check, required

Education and Experience:

    • High-school diploma or GED, required
    • Previous administrative experience, including supporting management, preferred
    • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
