Primary Purpose:
Perform administrative/secretarial duties and assist the Office of School Leadership including the support of the implementation of the Teacher Incentive Allotment implementation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
Five years secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment
Special knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of all job-related skills necessary to perform assigned duties
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as liaison for administrators in the Office of School Leadership and department to promote positive relations with other administrators, district staff, parents, community, and others.
- Serve as Administrative Assistant to leaders within the department including assistance in the implementation of the Teacher Incentive Allotment.
- Perform secretarial duties for department as needed.
- Coordinate meetings – arrange for facilities, contact participants, and prepare materials.
- Assist in development of department budget.
- Demonstrate responsible fiscal control of the department budget and coordinate with campuses purchasing, invoicing and inventorying items as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of expenditures.
- Process staff development stipends/substitutes.
- Prepare state and federal reports.
- Prepare quality documents – agendas, correspondence, website information, program evaluations, Board Reports, etc.
- Coordinate registration, travel and housing arrangement for administrators.
- Facilitate major projects including the Teacher Incentive Allotment.
Demonstrate initiative to develop skills applicable to performance of assigned duties.
Working Conditions:
Position may require periods of sitting at computer or standing at copier.
Some lifting of boxes.
Use of a vehicle is necessary to run errands and pick up supplies as needed.
Sometimes necessary to work after hours to complete projects.
