Job Description
SUMMARY
To provide assistance to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment so that the office can operate at optimum efficiency. Initiate and follow through on projects within the department such as: accreditation reporting, working with accountability software to ensure completion of Institutional Effectiveness Plans, other general clerical duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clerical support for the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment.

Greet the public and provide high quality customer service.

Assist in preparing and submitting accreditation reports to SACSCOC.

Correspond and work with faculty to track completion of Institutional Effectiveness Plans within the accountability management software.

Assist in the administration of student and employee surveys.

Assist in collection and reporting of data at the departmental and institutional level.

Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and take meeting minutes.

Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two- year college or technical school (preferred, but not required); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent PC skills (data entry accuracy and completeness). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel are required. Strong familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications is a plus. Ability to create HTML documents a plus. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills are a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures directives and correspondence pertaining to financial aid programs. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to write routine job-related correspondence as well as prepare reports on the operations of the office.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Campus Connect, VAX and other related software.
