ABOUT THE OFFICE OF IMMIGRANT LEGAL SERVICES

Join the Knoxville Office of Immigrant Services (OIS), a DOJ-recognized law office providing immigration legal support to immigrants and refugees. We assist with family reunification, refugee/asylee status adjustments, DACA renewals, and humanitarian relief under VAWA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate office operations: client intake, scheduling, record-keeping, and communications
• Screen new clients, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar
• Translate and interpret between English and Spanish for clients and attorneys
• Assist with client payments and maintain confidentiality of all records
• Support outreach efforts and collaborate with staff and volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• 2 years of college or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
