Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Town of Ware

The Town of Ware is seeking applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Treasurer/Collector’s Office. This position reports directly to the Treasurer/Collector. Duties focus on performing a variety of administrative and financial support functions for the Collector’s Office, including processing payments, issuing receipts, preparing and reconciling daily deposits, and maintaining records. Provides customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving account issues. Performs other work as assigned by the Treasurer/Collector.

Requires a High School Diploma. Associate degree is preferred in Business Administration, Finance, Taxation, Accounting, or related fields. One year of experience working in an accounting or municipal tax office; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Honesty, reliability, high level of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment are essential.
