CATCO is a heavy highway, bridge, and road contractor located in Alden, New York, serving Western New York for over 30 years. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Office Support team member. Applicants who show initiative and take ownership will be strongly considered.
Construction office experience preferred (not required).
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment (review, code, enter)
- Prepare and issue vendor payments accurately and on time
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized, accurate AP and purchase order files
- Assist with month-end close tasks (journal entries, account reconciliations as needed)
- Coordinate with field/office staff to ensure proper coding and supporting documentation
- Answer and route incoming office phone calls
- Support additional administrative/accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications / Skills
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software and standard office tools
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Solid problem-solving skills and professional communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
