Administrative Assistant/Operations Support

Job Overview
R. Roese Contracting Company, Inc. is seeking an individual to fill an administrative position that will support our field operations team. The position requires an individual that is very reliable and detail oriented. This individual will need to interact with several members of the Roese operations team, utility representatives, property owners, material suppliers, governmental agencies, and other entities.

The position will primarily be based at the corporate location in Kawkawlin, MI. There will be times this individual will be required to do job site visits, gather paperwork from field crews, meet with vendors and customers, take measurements, handle customer complaints, etc.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Data Entry - reports; job cards; operator qualifications database; as-builts/red-line drawings (Blue Beam software)
• MissDig - submitting electronic/phone MissDig requests; checking for tickets to clear and positive response; monitor expiration dates and refresh tickets as needed
• Permitting - application and submittal for work permits will all AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) such as city, county, state, etc.
• ROW Staking - work with contracted vendors to stake the right-of-way; schedule vendors to complete work ahead of construction crews; provide vendors with drawings of individual projects where staking is required
• Procurement - assisting department with needed quantities for each project such as various sizes of pipe, fittings, and misc. parts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
