Job description

Rehab Specialists Physical Therapy Inc. is a growing outpatient physical therapy company dedicated to helping patients return to an active, healthy lifestyle. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team in West Los Angeles. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in healthcare administration with room for growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner
  • Answer and manage a multi-line phone system
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Open and close the clinic, including preparing daily schedules and organizing charts
  • Maintain a clean and organized front office and clinic environment
  • Process patient intake forms and ensure all documentation is complete
  • Verify insurance benefits, referrals, and authorizations prior to visits
  • Collect co-payments and process payments (cash, credit card, etc.)
  • Reconcile daily payments and maintain accurate financial logs
  • Communicate with physician offices regarding referrals when needed
  • Assist with patient check-out and scheduling follow-up visits
  • Support team members and assist with general administrative duties

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of customer service or administrative experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and computer systems
  • Experience with insurance verification/authorizations preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace
  • Typing speed of 55+ WPM
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to cover other clinics if needed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
