Responsibilities: The Administrative Associate supports the general administrative functions of the academic division, the Dean and faculty, following established policies and procedures. This position also assists students and community members regarding divisional activities in alignment with the mission, values, and strategic plan of the institution.


Associate’s Degree in Office Administration, Secretarial Science, Business, Accounting, or a related field; or 18 months education beyond high school; or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted for education. This position requires 2 or more years of directly related work experience. Must have ability to use or learn the Banner system to retrieve or input necessary information; must be people-oriented and have a strong commitment to excellent customer service, demonstrating a people-first attitude, patience, attentiveness, creativity, and resourcefulness; must have the ability to learn, retain, and apply college, state, and federal policies and procedures related to community college education. Demonstrate the ability to operate standard office equipment; proficiency in operating a personal computer using Microsoft 365 for word processing, spreadsheet, graphic presentations, PowerPoint, remote meetings, and calendars as well as similar software. Must be able to communicate clearly in written and spoken English; work well with others and to work independently; to develop a working knowledge of remote delivery systems and software. Must have ability to exercise good judgment in making decision within the scope of College policies and procedures; ability to prioritize and have good organizational skills; and ability to first-line problem-solve and recognize the appropriate level at which problem-solving should occur. Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times. Must possess a valid driver’s license upon hire.
