The Tangipahoa Parish Extension Office is looking for an Administrative Coordinator 3 with excellent customer service and organizational skills. For more information please visit: Tangipahoa Parish.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

As an Administrative Coordinator 3, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors. In this role, you will:

  • Administrative Support: prepare and maintain records, correspondence, reports, and other documents; Work closely with Parish Chair to maintain parish budget; Order office supplies; Work with 4-H Agents to coordinate parish events; Screen calls and visitors at the Parish Office; Sort and deliver mail; etc. (40%)
  • General Office Support: Compiles, maintains, and distributes correspondence, news articles, newsletters, program/brochures, and other materials for parish programs. (30%)
  • Record Keeping: compiles and maintains mailing lists and databases of participants/clientele for program areas. (15%)
  • Assistance with Events: Assists 4-H Agents with workshops and demonstrations by compiling and sending packets and letters to schools, judges and participants. Assist with all AgCenter events throughout the parish by preparing content, transporting materials, setting up events, and cleaning up after events. This may include evening and weekend events. (15%)

Position-Specific Details:

  • Appointment Type: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
  • Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday. Some nights and weekends may be needed.
  • Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
  • Location: Tangipahoa Paris Extension Office, Amite, La.
  • This position is not eligible for remote employment.
