The position of Administrative Landman (Land Administration) is responsible for creating and maintaining ownership decks, processing ownership transfers, proposing subsequent operations, drafting Assignments, and conducting leasehold acreage reviews.

Conduct leasehold ownership reviews prior to well recompletions, plugging wells, and acreage trades

Conduct extensive analysis and interpretation of the provisions of Leases, Contracts, Deeds, Assignments, and Title Opinions to determine ownership

Process transfers, propose workovers to industry partners, revise DOI Decks after payouts, and conduct shut-in reviews

Preparing Assignments, Joint Operating Agreements, Letter Agreements and Wellbore Farmout Agreements

Setup Division of Interest Decks in computer software (Quorum)

Coordinate with Revenue and JIB Accounting to process ownership changes based on completed document analysis

Proficient in calculating and verifying all ownership interests

Interact with owners, district landmen, and attorneys to clarify and resolve ownership issues

Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Landman experience or other industry related experience

Experience or knowledge of New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma real estate property law

Proficient in Quorum software or a similar oil and gas software system

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel and Word

Ability to multitask and shift priorities readily

Ability to work with others, take direction from supervisors, focus attention on details and follow work rules
