Administrative Legal Assistant

About the Role

Casey Lundregan Burns, P.C., a steadily expanding law firm in downtown Salem, MA, is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support in our Housing and Landlord/Tenant Department.

The ideal candidate has prior office or legal experience and enjoys being the organizational hub of a busy office. This position plays a key role in maintaining daily workflow by coordinating communication, managing time-sensitive tasks, supporting attorneys and clients, and ensuring that information moves accurately and efficiently throughout the firm.

We are seeking a proactive self-starter who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys workplace collaboration, and is comfortable navigating competing priorities. Professionalism, confidentiality, flexibility, and steady reliability are critical to success in this position.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (with a one-hour lunch).
Location: Downtown Salem, MA. This is an in-office position without hybrid potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a professional and welcoming first point of contact in person and on the phone
  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Process, track, and organize incoming mail, court notices, and deadlines
  • Create and maintain files in Clio, Monday.com, OneDrive, and other programs as relevant
  • Assist the Client Care Coordinator with client engagement, onboarding, and communication
  • Prepare, proofread, and format documents and correspondence
  • Provide high-level administrative support to attorneys in assigned practice area
  • Support marketing initiatives and special projects
  • Perform general administrative office duties such as copying, printing, restocking materials, maintaining inventory, and organizing and assisting with firm events

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in a law firm or corporate office strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to assist team members
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
