Full job description
1. PROJECT PLANNING & EXECUTION: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of construction projects. Develop comprehensive project schedules, resource allocation plans, and execution strategies in collaboration with Planning Engineers. Act as a key coordinator between office teams and site operations—effectively bridging design, planning, and on-ground implementation. Ensure adherence to timelines, milestones, and contractual obligations.
2. BUDGETING & COST CONTROL: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Monitor expenditures, project cash flow, and funding requirements in coordination with the QS (Quantity Surveyor). Drive cost optimization and negotiate effectively with contractors and vendors Submit value addition report Strategize for cost.
3. TECHNICAL OVERSIGHT: Review and approve structural and architectural drawings, BOQs, and construction details. Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements. Conduct periodic site inspections to monitor quality, workmanship, and technical progress.
4. OFFICE-SITE COORDINATION: Serve as a central point of communication between office-based planning and documentation teams and field-based execution teams. Translate drawings, documentation, and design inputs into actionable on-site tasks. Ensure timely dissemination of updated drawings, technical clarifications, and revisions
5. TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT: Lead and supervise site managers, project engineers, and other project execution staff. Allocate responsibilities, set performance goals, and monitor team deliverables. Conduct performance appraisals and facilitate professional development and training programs. Train the team and elevate them to the next level.
6. RISK & SAFETY MANAGEMENT: Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards at all project sites. Ensure statutory and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
7. STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Maintain active coordination with consultants, architects, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies. Ensure prompt resolution of project issues, delays, or conflicts. Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
8. DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING: Prepare detailed progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for top management review. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities, site reports, inspection logs, and compliance records.
9. ANY OTHER TASKS ASSIGNED FROM TIME TO TIME: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the management to support evolving business needs and contribute to overall organizational success.
