Pacific Patrol Services is a fast-moving professional security company serving multiple clients in Portland’s Downtown core and the greater metro area.

This position is fast paced, and responsible for access-control to our main offices, consistently monitor cameras to sites throughout the city, while being attentive to inbound calls, call routing, dispatching our team to Calls-for-Service, keeping track of equipment inventory, reviewing and sending professional reports to a large portfolio of clients, and working in conjunction with our Shift Supervisors to ensure success at all clients’ jobsites.

Skillsets for this position include, customer-service, critical thinking/problems-solving, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, self-starter, multitasking, self-managing task loads, and excellent phone skills.

This position requires proficiency typing on a QWERTY keyboard (touch-typing skills preferred), operating multi-line smart phone systems, and proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite. (All training provided.)

Day, Swing, and Graveyard Shifts Available, 32 to 40 hour positions. Weekend availability highly preferred. (Field Patrol work is also available.)

Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour. $20.00 per hour after 1040 hours worked (approx. 6 months of full time work)

Private Security Work in Oregon is regulated by The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST). PPS provides all necessary training to acquire the DPSST Unarmed Private Security Professional Certification necessary for security work in Oregon.

SKILLSETs and REQUIREMENTS

  • Customer Service, communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic), multitasking, self-management, adapting to emergent situations
  • QWERTY Keyboard, minimum 40 words per minute (tested speed), touch-typing skills preferred.
  • De-escalation skills and the ability to deal with frustrated or angry persons
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Data Entry Accurately and Efficiently.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and participation in a random drug testing program
  • Ability to obtain a DPSST Unarmed Private Security Professional Certification. (Training Provided)
  • High School Diploma or GED, or two or four-year post secondary degree recognized by the Oregon Offices of Degree Authorization.
