One of our government-sector clients is seeking an Administrative Services Assistant to support TennCare enrollment operations. This role will assist with member enrollments, disenrollments, Medicaid redeterminations, and related administrative functions to ensure accurate and timely processing. The position is critical in supporting the implementation of the new PERLSS eligibility system, allowing the enrollment team to focus on system-related activities, including defect monitoring, reporting, process improvements, and future implementation phases. With Medicaid redeterminations resuming following the end of the Public Health Emergency, the contractor will also assist in managing increased workloads by coordinating with MCOs, Nursing Facilities, DIDD, and other state partners to support member renewals and help ensure eligible members maintain coverage throughout the redetermination process.

Nashville, Tennessee 37243-00006 MonthsAction Plan Timeline:The contractor will be needed for 12 months.Month 1: Training on new roles, including shadowing and completion of the new-hire onboarding process. Month 2: The contractor will begin working independently, with hands-on support and monitoring from the supervisor, on enrollment-related tasks. These include enrollment and disenrollment functions, transcribing approved PASRR determinations into the TMED system, and assisting with redetermination processes. Weekly check ins to occur with the supervisor to monitor productivity and answer questions. Months 4-10: The contractor will be fully independent in role and will provide support with enrollment tasks. This will also include providing required reports, as needed, to the supervisor. In months 9 and 10, the supervisor and contractor will begin discussing the transition plan for tasks, to include a review of eligibility system implementation-related tasks that are close to completion or have already been completed. Months 11-12: The contractor will work with the enrollment team to transition responsibilities to team members and finalize outstanding work tasks. The contractor and supervisor will create a transition plan to minimize transition-related gaps, ensuring compliance with Rules and required timeframes.
Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree and two years of qualifying professional experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.). Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet specific timeframes and deadlines with minimal supervision.
