We are looking for a resourceful, attentive, and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to assist our team in a firearm store and range environment. This position is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion or interest in working with firearms. Previous firearm knowledge is not required, but a willingness to learn and retain information about the firearm industry is essential.
The ideal candidate will be a driven problem solver with exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role requires someone who can properly complete, review, and maintain official paperwork while supporting daily back-office operations and store procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Check in incoming inventory accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify received products against invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, and internal records.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate any discrepancies to management.
- Properly handle firearm inventory records and bound book entries.
- Assist with acquisition and disposition entries as required.
- Conduct background checks during the firearm pickup and transfer process.
- Review official paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Perform daily review of paperwork before the end of the day.
- Complete monthly tasks accurately and before required deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations, store policies, and internal procedures.
- Support the team by performing organizational and administrative tasks.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, vendors, and management.
- Exhibit polite and professional communication by phone, email, and mail.
- Greet customers and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist customers during the firearm pickup process when needed.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, and assisting with ordering or expediting supplies.
- Help maintain the upkeep, cleanliness, and organization of the store.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with firearm retail, range operations, ATF compliance, Form 4473, background checks, or bound book entries is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of firearms or an interest in learning about firearms is preferred but not required.
- Experience with inventory systems, point-of-sale systems, or data entry.

Schedule:
Full time position. Weekends will be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
