Administrative Specialist- 2 (Hybrid Remote)

Help protect one of America's most important river systems.

Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) manages the water resources of a 27,500-square-mile basin across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York — supporting drinking water for over 4 million people while balancing the needs of communities, industry, agriculture, and ecosystems. Our Project Review and Compliance programs are central to that mission, and we're looking for an experienced administrative pro to help keep them running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Support regulatory and compliance activities, including NOV (Notice of Violation) cycles, agency-issued permits, notices, public comments, and enforcement correspondence.
  • Draft polished correspondence and manage records and data in our custom database.
  • Maintain mailing lists, handle inquiries from the public and project sponsors, and support internal communication.
  • Spot opportunities to improve how things run — and help make them happen
  • Supervise, train, and mentor other Administrative Specialists

.What You Bring

  • Several years of progressively responsible administrative experience, including some supervisory or lead experience
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, office management, or a related field — or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach
