We’re looking for a people-friendly Administrative & HR Support Specialist who understands employee relations and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of labor laws, HR processes, and safety requirements while bringing a personable, approachable demeanor to the role. Success in this position requires someone with a pleasant temperament who can build positive relationships, yet also work independently, think resourcefully, and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Support & Compliance
- Handle onboarding, scheduling, and workflow management.
- Manage new hire orientations including group safety presentations and site tours.
- Maintain compliance with I-9 requirements, labor laws, FMLA, LOA, and ADA.
Safety & Claims
- Manage workers’ compensation cases and track restrictions for injured employees.
- Complete OSHA forms (300, 300A, and related logs).
- Document and follow up on auto insurance claims.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Review, approve, and correct timesheets.
- Assist in weekly payroll and generate reports in payroll system.
Data & Technology
- Use Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other core functions) for reporting and analysis.
- Actively leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini) to streamline workflows.
Communications & Creative Support
- Draft clear, professional communications and manage social media accounts.
- Create simple graphics and visuals using Photoshop.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and proven use of AI tools in daily work.
- Strong understanding of I-9, labor laws, OSHA regulations, and workers’ comp procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful, independent problem-solver with high attention to detail.
- Basic Photoshop and graphic design skills.
- Copywriting abilities and experience managing social media.
- Content creation for brand-consistent communications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
