Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position will coordinate site-wide efforts related to B-1 project management as well as assist with Tejano Farms-related functions. This position will also handle special projects, as assigned, and perform a diverse level of responsibilities to efficiently facilitate operations in support of departmental goals.

II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
SITE B-1 PROJECT MANAGEMENT: As the assigned Site B-1 Project Coordinator, coordinate and follow up on all aspects of FPC TX B-1 improvement and expansion projects (classified as capital and environmental) from initiation to closing with accuracy, attention to detail, and good judgment.
TEJANO FARMS: Collaborate with Tejano Farms Manager to process invoices and account receivables (income), track expenses related to the budget, and data entry for annual reports.
TX GMO MANUAL GATEKEEPER: Oversee the TX GMO Manual and serve as the gatekeeper for establishing and/or modifying procedures. Serve as the liaison to the site’s Steering Committee for review and comments on all related procedures. Develop procedure revisions based upon final approvals from the committee. Coordinate communications of procedure changes to all end users to ensure uniform practice.
SPECIAL PROJECTS: Provide assistance, including coordination of assigned special projects. Work closely with the other team members to achieve the company’s goals, mission, and shared values through special projects. Engage internal and external contacts for goal achievement.
Organize and facilitate special projects that require site-wide participation and assessment.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous Related Experience Required
  • Five (5) years in job-related functions in project management, accounting, or related experience in a petrochemical facility preferred; Other year(s) of experience considered with appropriate education listed below.
  • Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
  • Personal computer skills and applicable software.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good business writing ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
  • Knowledge of Web/AS400 systems, FPG / MCA Workflow systems, KMS Resolution Tracker system, Works application preferred
  • Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five (5) years of direct job-related experience required. An Associate’s degree with two (2) years of direct job-related experience preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of direct job-related experience preferred
