Admissions Advisor

Admissions Advisor | Full-time | On-site $25.00–$38.00 per hour (placement based on experience)

About the Role

We're hiring an Admissions Advisor to be the first point of contact for prospective students exploring our programs. This is a consultative, phone-forward role: you'll manage a pipeline of inbound leads, conduct discovery conversations, guide qualified candidates through enrollment, and support them until their first day of class. We're looking for candidates that are dedicated and passionate about their role.

What You'll Do

  • Engage prospective students via phone, email, text, and in-person meetings, with a focus on responsive, high-volume outreach
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine program fit across our healthcare and HVAC-R programs
  • Walk applicants through admissions requirements and next steps
  • Manage your lead pipeline in our CRM, keeping records accurate and follow-ups timely
  • Represent CHAC at recruitment events, info sessions, and campus tours
  • Partner with faculty, financial aid, and student services to ensure smooth handoffs
  • Support enrolled students through their start date to improve retention

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • MUST have 3+ years of experience in a sales, lead-conversion, or high-volume client-facing role. Backgrounds we've seen succeed include inside sales, call centers, appointment setting, mortgage or insurance sales, financial services, healthcare intake, and hospitality.
  • Comfort with high call volume and structured outreach cadences
  • Strong written and verbal communication; you can hold a real conversation, not just read a script
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage a pipeline independently
  • Genuine interest in working with first-generation students, working adults, and career changers
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to commute to Huntington Park, CA.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior admissions, enrollment, or higher-ed experience
  • Familiarity with Velocify, Ellucian, or similar CRM/SIS platforms
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule

Full-time, on-site at our Huntington Park Campus. Some evening or Saturday hours may be required during peak enrollment periods.
