Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team during weekend shifts. This role involves managing patient admissions, verifying insurance, and supporting administrative functions within a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong medical administrative support skills, proficiency with EMR systems, and excellent communication abilities to ensure a seamless patient intake process while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

We are seeking motivated, reliable Admissions Coordinators to join a growing dual-diagnosis treatment team. This role is critical to guiding individuals and families through the first step of recovery while ensuring ethical admissions, accurate insurance qualification, and strong follow-through in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Communication & Engagement

  • Respond to inbound calls, texts, chats, and emails from individuals seeking treatment.
  • Provide clear, supportive guidance regarding programs, levels of care, and the admissions process.
  • Maintain calm, professional, and compassionate communication with individuals and families in urgent or emotional situations.
  • Perform consistent and timely follow-up with leads in a high-volume admissions setting.

Clinical Pre-Screening & Intake Support

  • Conduct initial clinical pre-screenings to help determine appropriate levels of care.
  • Gather and accurately document patient information to support admissions decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical and admissions leadership to ensure appropriate placement and smooth intake coordination.

Insurance Verification, Qualification & Sales Performance

  • Verify insurance benefits (VOB) and assess in-network eligibility, coverage limits, and treatment availability.
  • Confirm TX availability and ensure accurate financial qualification prior to admission.
  • Communicate benefits and financial responsibility clearly and ethically.
  • Demonstrate the ability to confidently guide and close appropriate admissions.
  • Participate in sales scoring and performance tracking through verified tiers.

Systems, Accuracy & Compliance

  • Complete accurate data entry across Salesforce (preferred) and EMR platforms (Kipu preferred, Avality, VerifyTX, CTM, Outlook)
  • Maintain organized and timely documentation to support admissions workflow.
  • Uphold HIPAA, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance standards always.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless patient transitions into care.
  • Contribute to building and strengthening a growing admissions department.
  • Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred).
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare admissions, or high-volume customer service preferred.
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, in-network policies, and benefit qualification strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred but not required (training available for the right candidate).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
