We are seeking a dynamic and resident-focused Admissions Director to lead our admissions process, strengthen community relationships, and ensure an outstanding experience from first contact through move-in.
Position Summary
The Admissions Director oversees all aspects of the admissions process, including inquiry management, referrals, facility tours, coordination of pre-admission assessments, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth and timely admissions. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational excellence, and the ability to engage with hospitals, referral partners, residents, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond promptly to all inquiries, referrals, and admission requests.
- Coordinate and conduct facility tours for prospective residents, families, and referral sources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, case managers, physicians, and community partners to drive census development.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to evaluate potential admissions and ensure appropriate placement.
- Maintain accurate admissions data, referral logs, and reports in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
- Lead or participate in daily/weekly census meetings to forecast admissions and identify opportunities.
- Educate prospective residents and families on services, insurance coverage, costs, and the admissions process.
- Support marketing initiatives, community outreach events, and partnership development activities.
- Ensure a compassionate, supportive, and customer-focused admissions experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, social services, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare admissions, case management, marketing, or discharge planning; SNF experience strongly preferred.
- RN or LPN strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care plans, and insurance authorization processes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office software.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
