Adoption & Change Management Consultant

Adoption & Change Management Consultant
The Adoption & Change Management (ACM) Consultant is a practitioner-level role focused on delivering structured adoption and training work within defined engagement scopes. Working primarily on Microsoft 365 Copilot and Modern Work initiatives, this consultant executes change management activities, designs and delivers end-user training, and supports customer champions, developing the skills and experience to operate with increasing independence over time.
This is a customer-facing role. The ACM Consultant presents and trains in front of live audiences regularly and represents KiZAN professionally across working-team settings. Senior team members provide guidance on approach, review deliverables, and are available for escalation when engagements require more complex judgment.

Responsibilities

Change Management Execution
The Consultant executes change management activities within an established plan. In well-defined engagements, the Consultant may operate independently; in more complex situations, they work with guidance from a Senior Consultant or project lead.
  • Execute change management activities within a defined engagement plan, communications, readiness assessments, adoption checkpoints, and reinforcement activities with increasing independence as experience grows.
  • Develop and maintain change management deliverables including communications calendars, training plans, readiness trackers, and champion logs throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and user surveys to gather readiness and sentiment data, summarizing findings clearly for project leads and customer stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the setup and facilitation of champions networks and communities of practice, managing logistics, content preparation, and follow-up communications.
  • Identify and document adoption risks or user resistance early, escalating observations and recommended next steps to the Senior Consultant or project lead.
Training Design & Delivery
Training delivery is the primary customer-facing responsibility of this role. The Consultant owns the preparation and delivery of training for defined audiences and use cases.
  • Design and deliver instructor-led training (ILT) for end users and champions across defined personas both virtually and in-person with session quality that reflects positively on KiZAN.
  • Build role-based training materials from scratch including slide decks, facilitator guides, quick reference cards, prompt packs, and scenario walkthroughs for Microsoft 365 Copilot and M365 applications.
  • Facilitate working sessions, lunch-and-learns, and awareness events to drive engagement and reinforce adoption behaviors between formal training touchpoints.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions with customer champions to extend enablement reach beyond direct KiZAN delivery.
  • Gather and incorporate participant feedback after each session to continuously improve delivery quality.
Microsoft 365 & Copilot Enablement
  • Deliver practical, scenario-based end-user training across core Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Loop, and Planner/To Do).
  • Help users build strong collaboration and information management habits that reduce friction and increase the effectiveness of Copilot and other Microsoft tools.
  • Support feature rollouts and capability updates with targeted training resources and just-in-time communications.
Reporting & Follow-Through
  • Track training attendance, completion, and participant feedback, and compile results into status updates for project leads and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clear log of open questions, escalated issues, and action items from training sessions, and hand off to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Document lessons learned after each engagement and share with the broader ACM team to improve future delivery

Expected Outcomes

  • Training sessions are delivered on time to a high standard, with consistently positive participant feedback.
  • End users leave training sessions with the confidence and skills to apply Microsoft 365 Copilot and M365 tools to their daily work.
  • Champions are activated and equipped to support peer learning and reinforce adoption behaviors within their teams.
  • Change management activities are executed consistently and on schedule, contributing to a smooth adoption experience for the customer.
  • The Consultant grows toward greater autonomy over time, requiring progressively less guidance from Senior team members on routine engagements.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • This role involves frequent communication with English-speaking clients and documentation in English; therefore, strong English communication skills are required.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering technology adoption, end-user training, or change management in a customer-facing or consulting capacity.
  • Demonstrated comfort presenting and training in front of live audiences including mixed-level groups in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Hands-on experience delivering end-user training on Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Office apps).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat user experiences and common adoption patterns.
  • Experience building training materials from scratch - slide decks, job aids, quick reference guides - rather than solely from pre-built templates.
  • Strong facilitation skills; able to manage group dynamics, field questions, and keep sessions on track.
  • Organized and dependable; follows through on commitments across multiple concurrent engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal change management training or certification (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, APMG Change Management, ACMP).
  • Microsoft certifications in Modern Work or Adoption & Change Management.
  • Experience supporting adoption metrics and reporting (e.g., Copilot Dashboard).
  • Experience supporting or running a champions program or community of practice.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot extensibility (Copilot Studio, prompt packs, governance) from an enablement perspective

Skills & Abilities

  • Engaging presenter and facilitator — able to hold an audience’s attention, pace content effectively, and adapt to group dynamics in the moment.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator; able to translate technical concepts into plain language for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong content creation skills; able to build well-structured, visually clean training materials independently.
  • Empathetic, user-centered mindset — genuinely invested in helping people build confidence with new technology.
  • Organized and dependable; manages deliverables, timelines, and follow-up items reliably.
  • Receptive to feedback and coaching; works well within a team and incorporates guidance from senior consultants willingly.
  • Intellectually curious — proactively builds expertise in new Microsoft capabilities as they become relevant to customer work
