Adult day Center driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Adult Day Center Driver to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting adult participants to and from the center, ensuring a comfortable and secure experience. Duties

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a shuttle or van, to transport adult participants to scheduled activities and appointments
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues, fluid levels, tire condition, and safety equipment
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed to ensure their safety and comfort
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger counts in accordance with company policies and regulations
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure secure transportation at all times
• Communicate effectively with team members, participants, and emergency responders when necessary
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle reliability

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred
• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, or operating commercial vehicles such as buses or box trucks
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicles, including manual transmission operation and basic troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with participants, staff, and external agencies
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and transport services
• Prior experience with paratransit services or transporting individuals with special needs is a plus
• Perform any other task assigned by manager as needed

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
